Every human being has a unique genotype, with some of us having discreet genetic variations or mutations that impact the way a protein is taken up in a metabolic process, causing the process not to work exactly as it should.
The variation might, for example, cause the body to overproduce or underproduce a substance. Sometimes this variation can protect us from disease, but often that variation may increase the risk of developing chronic disease, especially when an unhealthy diet is followed or less-than-ideal lifestyle choices are made.

The procedure of genetic testing is very simple. A swab or blood sample is taken as part of a health screening and counselling is done by a registered service provider.
The client’s personal information is captured and the sample is transported to a specialised laboratory in a sealed, coded envelope, together with the client’s written consent.
The comprehensive report is sent to the provider, who will give the client feedback by translating the information in easily understandable terms.
